Albaugh, LLC, a family-owned business founded in 1979, acquired Prime Source in 2021. Headquartered in Ankeny, Iowa, Albaugh has grown from a one-truck operation with the goal of delivering high-quality products and great service at competitive prices to a global business serving the agriculture and green industry markets. 

By acquiring Prime Source, Albaugh has made a genuine commitment to the specialty market, while maintaining the same outstanding service and support as well as the continued development of the growing value-added specialty products line. 

In the fall of 2023, to establish consistent name recognition across all markets, Prime Source was renamed Albaugh Specialty Products. Today, the ever-expanding portfolio of fungicides, herbicides, insecticides, PGRs and related products is indicative of Albaugh Specialty Products’ robust dedication to the industry.

GROWING TO SERVE YOU

Our manufacturing and packaging is handled in the heart of the country in St. Joseph, Mo. Being centrally located in the Midwest affords us operational and logistical advantages in serving customers throughout the United States. A recent land purchase brings Albaugh’s footprint in St. Joseph to 75 acres and made construction of new facilities dedicated to Albaugh Specialty Products possible.

Completed in mid-year of 2023, the new Albaugh Specialty Products facility enhances efficiency and sustainability in production and distribution capabilities. A sky-bridge connects the production area to the finished goods warehouse, which assures secure transfer between the two buildings. These logistical refinements allow us to provide best-in-class shipping of top-quality product to our customers.

Albaugh today is a global business, operating with a direct presence in key regions of the world including North America, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Europe. From these locations we are also serving other markets such as Central America, South America and Africa.
